This policy explains how MarkThePast (a FarmAlert project) collects and uses personal information. We aim to comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. What we collect
We collect personal information only as needed to process orders and provide support, including:
- Name and contact details (such as email)
- Shipping address
- Order details and purchase history
- Support messages you send us
2. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
3. How we use your information
- To fulfil and deliver your order
- To communicate with you about your order
- To provide customer support
- To meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations
4. Who we share information with
We share information only where necessary to provide the service, such as:
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Courier/shipping providers (delivery)
- Infrastructure/hosting providers (website operation)
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies and analytics
We do not currently use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics). Your browser may still store standard technical cookies required for basic site function.
6. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed for fulfilment, support, accounting, and legal purposes.
